Camp Masala draws on a wealth of experience in the local South Asian Community and beyond to help teach our curriculum. Many of our instructors have been with us since our inception and are an essential part of Camp Masala. They return each year because they find the experience as rewarding and fun as we do!

If you are 21 or older and of South Asian heritage, we need your help!

One major goal of Camp Masala is to establish a knowledge and love of South Asian heritage and culture. Counselors are essential to helping us realize that goal. We have excellent counselors! Kids love to interact with young adults. To spend time with young adults who share their birth culture is a rare treat for most of our kids and they relish it!

As a counselor at Camp Masala, you must be 21 or older, enthusiastic, and have a desire to share your talents and time with kids. You’ll be involved in all of the activities with the kids and serve as a positive role model for them. In return, you’ll receive food and the chance to participate in all the great activities we have planned. Also, your volunteer work can be used to meet college or high school service requirements. Finally, you have the opportunity to give kids a cultural experience they will value throughout their lives.
